DEATH OF METE KINGI.
[BY. TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wanganui, Sunday. Mete Kingi, the well-known chief, and formerly H.H.R../ died at Putiki on Satur. day from hernia, aged, it is believed, about seventy. An application hae been made to the Government on behalf of the family for a public funeral.
