OTAHUHU.

» The anniversary soiree of the Otahuhu Wesleyan Church was held on Thursday evening in the Public Hall. There was a large attendance from the village and surrounding, districts, and some visitors from town. The tables were provided, and very liberally too, by Mesdames Goodwill, Burns, Whitmore, Johnston, Johns, Pikett, and Messrs Badli'y, Box, Farnsworth, and H. Wills. The chair was taken by Mr. J. L, Wilson, and after a few opemng remarks a report was read by Mr. Johnston, which showed the state of the finances to be improved, and recording with thankfulness tho blessings which had rested on the Church during the past year. Earnest and practical addresses were delivered by the pastor, the Rev. G. Bond, and by the Revs. Guy, Gould, and Mauky, and Mr. Shalders. Alternating with the addresses eacred pieces of music were sung by the choir with great effect, and were highly appreciated by the audience, the singing being under the guidance of the able leader of the choir, Miss Burns. The usual votes of thanks concluded a very interesting and profitable evening.
