Nxw Zialand Hpbald Office, "Wednesday evening. The duties to-day amounted to £1076 14s 4d. Messrs. John and E. Leydon report to-day'a sale as being fair, bidding not ho brisk &b usual. Household furniture (new) was offered, and reached the reserve. Cutlery, jewellery,earthenware, and tinware said afc their respective reserves. O.imaru potatoes, £4 10s; sugar, £37 10i; tea, la 8d per lb. (ues? season's in 121b. boxes, ex Boiliow); Canterbury bacon and haroM, 0-i'l to IOJd ; dairy fed bacon, 7d per lb.; coffee, liour, oatmeal, and soap at makers' prices. Mr. G. W. Binney hold a sale of Hobart apples, &c., at hia new stores to-day. There was a good attendance, and the prices realised ran from. 9s to 15i per case. After the above sale, the same gentleman sold a quantity of preserved fish, marmalade, sauces, kc., for which fair prices were obtained. At Messrs. E. and A. Isaacs' sale of clothing to-day there was not a very large attendance, and tbe bidding, consequent uoon the overstocked state of the market, was very dull, and the prices realised were anything but satisfactory,
