An additional sum Of £14 10?, collected I after Mr. Morley's address upon the Church j Building Loan Fund, which makes a total' collected at the laying of the foundation of the new Wesleyan chapel here of £117. A telegraphic error occurs in the report published in your issue of yesterday, which makes the sum in hand towards tho cost of the building £400, instead of £480. At the meeting of the Pukekura Highway Board, the question of repairing the bridge at Mystery Creek, Which is oh the. boundary of the Pukekura and Hamilton highway districts, was brought forward; but the Board declined for the present to move in the matter, as the Hamilton district showed ho inclination to do their share of the work. It was, however, agreed to endeavour to make soma arrangement for this, with the Hamilton highway district before, nejft meetiug, and, if successful, they (the Pukekura Board) were prepared to repair the ; Pukekura half of the bridge and. approaches. The matter is an important one, for if the bridge is not made, passable, a number of settlers will be cut off from the Rukuhia Cheese Factory. Ngabpawahia, Friday.

At the meeting of the Auckland Freezing Company, on Mquday, the proposal to rent slaughtering, premised for Napier sheep at Patetero was agreed to, and Messrs. Firth, E. B. Walker, Rich, and Buokl.and appointed a committee to travel the route and select the site for slaughter premises, and for the Several camping stations between. Patetere and Napier.
