DOMAIN BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Board was held yesterday. Present : Messrs. R. Walker (Mayor of Parnell); T. T. Masefield, C. S. Sutton, J. Bull, and T. Peacock. Mr. Bull was called to the chair. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. GOTKRNHENT HotfSE GROUNDS. — The Secretary of the Board of Grammar School Governors wrote : "I have the honour, by the direction of the Board of Governors of the Auckland College and Grammar School, to inform you that the Board has made an application to the Hon. the Minister of Lands, requesting the Government to sanction the alienation to the Board of a site, comprising one square acre of land in the Government House reserve immediately adjoining the piece in possession of the Choral Society. I have also tho honour to state that the Board of Governors will be glad if tho Domain Board will givo their sanction to any co-operation in tho application referred to." —Mr. Peacock said that the dealing with the question rested solely with tho Government, and it was agreed to reply to tho Governors, drawing attention to the Gazette.
