The athletic spurts in connection with the Auckland High School (Mr. Farqulmr Macrae, P'inc-ipal,) wero held on Nov. 7 ou tbe Domaiu Cricket Ground. There was a good uttciidauce. Among thoeo present in the afternoon we noticed Bishop Ccwie, Mr. C. F. Bourne (headmaster of the Auckland Grammar School,) Mr. Alfred Buckland, Major Tisdall, and other gentlemen. There were also a number of Udiee present Mr. F. Macrae acted as staiter; filesare. J. V. Bindon and J. H. Wilson as judges ; and Mosarß. F. D. Buckland, F. C. Lewis, E. Von Sturmer, H. M. Webster, and W. N. Gamble, formed the committee who supervised tbe arrangements. At the cloee of the sports, Mrs. Macrae dbtritributed tbe prizes to the successful competitors. The boys broke up with cheers for Air. Macrae and the rieitorj.
