[Received D*cembcr*3, 10.30 a-m.] THE ENGLISH CRICKETERS. SOME BRILLIANT SCORING. Sydney, December 2. The cricket match between the New South "Wales eleven and the English team was resumed to-day. The weather was fine, and there was a very large attendance of spectators. The Englishmen commenced their first innings, the not outs of the previous day (Barlow and Leslie) resuming their places at the wickets. Both players made a splendid stand, and runs ran up fast. Leslie was finally caught when he bad put together 144, and Barlow followed with 80 (bowled). C. T. Studd was bowled for 23, and Bates was caught and bowled for 30. There are now five wickets down and the score stands at 253, as against 152 scoivd Ijy the local men in their first innings. Sydney, December 2.
