PAINFUL OCCURRENCE AT DUNEDIN.
[nv TELEGRAPH. — I'RKS.S ASSOCIATION.] Dc.n'EDIV, Tuesday. A woman named MoVicar, residing at South Dunedin, made a determined attempt to commit suicide to-day by cutting her throat with a carving knife. She had been suffering from asthma, and had threatened the previous day to drown herself. It is possible she may recover.
