SUPREME COURT.—Judge's Chambers.
(Before Mr. Justice Gillies.] The weekly sitting in Chambers was held yesterday, add the following business disposed of. Prorate Administration.—On the motion of Mr. Mackcchnie, probate was granted of tbe will of William Nicholson, deceased, to his widow. On the motion of Air. James KusseJl, letters of administration were granted in the estate of Samuel Alfred Lindsay, deceased. On the motion of Mr. Speed, an order was made giving leave to register probate copy of will of John Anderson GilfiUsn. Bankruptcy.—Mr. Hudson Williamson appliel for an order to empower the trustee to sell the goods, , chattels, and effects which were found to be in the 1 possession of the debtor at the date of filing the declaration of insolvency. It will be remembered that when tbe debtor fllod, tbe furniture in his house was claimed by certain members of his family—one daughter claiming a piano, anothor daughter several articles of furniture, and a son-in-law claiming various articles of domestic use. The meeting of creditors recommended that the trustee should make an effort to make these goods available for distribution among creditors. . Tho result was the present 1 motion.—llls Honor said it would be necessary to be informed whether the goods referred to were in the order and disposition of the debtor at the time of tiling his declaration. It would be necessary to show that before the order could be made. Turnkk v. Wilkixs.—On the motion of Mr. Earl, issues were settled in this case, and it wai set down for hearing at tha next sittings (#ivil) of the Supreme Court.
