AMUSEMENTS.

Kohler's Waxworks.—This exhibition was open again yesterday, and considerable numbers visited it, and in addition to inspecting the figures enjoyed considerable fun with the experiments of the electric battery, and the phonograph. The latter, especially, attracted a great deal of attention. The new figures, which arrived yesterday, and which have been greatly admired at the Christchurch Exhibition, will be placed on view shortly. We may add that the exhibition (in its entirety) will only be open for a few days longer, for it is announced that the waxworks will be on view at the Thames on Saturday next. During its absence the rooms in Queen-street will be occupied by the group representing "Moses Striking the Rock," and other attractions. It is stated that Barlow is to accompany the Waxwork Exhibition to the Thames.

The Circos.—There was not such a large as usual last night, but the performance, which was similar to that of the previous evening, was gone through with great spirit, and success, and the daring feats of horsemanship and gymnistics, as well as the funny isms of the clowns, were greeted with well-merited applause. A reduction of prices is announced, as well as a change of programme. On Thursday nig'it Max Einkle, the favourite clown, takes a benefit, and on the following evening the performance will be under the patronage of the Mayor and Councillors. .
