Mr J C Booth is the successful tenderer for 'repairing the western approach to the Hamilton cart-bridge, the contract pnce being £169, of which the Borough Ckmncil contributes £60, and the Government the remainder. In the face of the borough having no fands to meet the £14/ in the hands of the Government for the screwing up and painting of the bridge, the latter have consented to go on with the most necessary part of the work to the extent of £14/, leaving the remainder nndone. The Presbyterians here intended having a large bazaar, iu aid of their Church Fund, in the autumn, and as a preliminary, in aid of the bazaar fund, will hold a conversazione in the Public and Volunteer-hall on Tuesday evening next, at which Mr. J. B. Whyte will preside. Mr. T. A. Bell has charge of the musical department. Cambridge, Saturday.
