DR. WALLIS' MEETING.

TO THE EDITOR. Sik, —Your report of Dr. Wallis' meeting makes him say that he had obtained promotion for me to a higher grade than I was legally entitled to. In reply, allow me to state that he must have known that he was speaking what was diametrically opposed to truth ; because neither he nor any other man has added to my first-class certificate, obtained by examination in Auckland upwards of 21 years ago. Dr. Wallis' political career has come to its close, and for the future, as T predicted, may be found in the limbo of obscurity. Sic transit gloria mundi. —I am, &c, J. Bkabazon.
