Taiaroa is expected to arrive from Southern ports about midnight. At present it is intended that she shall proceed to Fiji upon the arrival of the s.s. Southern Croas from there. The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Southern Cross 13 now overdue from Fiji. It is probable that she has been quarantined, else she would have arrived ere this. She is announced to leave for Tolago Bay, Gisborne, and Napier about Tuesday. "" The Union S.S. Co.'a a.s. Ringarooma is expected to arrive from Melbourne, via Southern ports, about 11 o'clock on Monday. Hero is expected to arrive from Sydney about Thursday. The Union S.S. Co/s s.s. Tβ Anau is announced to leave for Melbourne, via Southern ports, at noon to-day. Messrs. B. Tonks and Co. will sail 10 64ths of the brigantine Ethel on Monday, 24th instant, being the late Captain Wyatt's interest in the vessel. Tha s.s. Argyle leaves for Whangarei at 2 o'clock to-day. The P.M. e.a. City of Sydney left San Francisco a day behind time-table date. She should arrive on Monday, although that she may put in an appearance to-morrow is not improbable. The barque Loongana arrived from Hobart at 4 o'clock on Friday morning. She left Eobart on October let, and experienced strong W. and S.W. windi until the 3rd ; then until the 6th N.W. to S.W. winds, with light fine weather. Kept light winds till the evening of the 11th, when Three Kings were passed; thence down the coast had fair weather from N.N.W. to S.E., arriving in harbour at 4.30 a.m. to-day. Spoke the brig Fawn, from Newcastle to Lyttelton, five days o.ut, in latitude 37 , 13, longitude 166-10.

She will return South at 3 p.m. the same day, should the English mail have arrived in the meantime; otherwise she will not leare till Monday, at 3 o'clock. The Northern S.S. Co.'s s.s. Macgregor is expected to arrive from TTanganui before noon today. She W advertised to leave again at 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon for Waitara. The s.s. Hannah Mokau, left for Waitara at 1.10 p.m. yesterday, with about 6 tons sundries. The steamers Lilla Rook and Rowena are expected to pat in an appearance from Waitara to-day. The former leaves again on Monday for Raglan, and the latter on Tuesday at 3 p.m. for Hokionga.
