FOOTBALL.
NORTH SHORE V. AUCKLAND. Tas return match between the above clubs came off on Saturday afternoon, and resulted in a second victory for the local team by three tries (byMcGechie, Sims, and: Webster) to nil. Auckland played three men less than their opponents, and were overmatched from the start. For the winners, Burgess, McGcchie, Sibbin, and Webster were conspicuous, while Carter, McGill, and Bindon played up well for Auckland. Bindon came out in a new line (full-back), where he acquitted himself creditably, kicking and collaring very well. The North Shore have won all their matches this season, with the exception of a draw with Ponsonby, and are therefore the premier club for this year.
