Mr. Clark was charged with partiality, and with acting ultra vires, and it was stated by Mr. Graves, the new Minister of Customs, that the system would be discontinued. Kerosene remains at last quotations; Diamond, Is B|d per gallon; Devoe's, 2s Id. Patna rice has risen 5s per ton, to £21 17s 6d. The Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces have declined to .£35 per ton. Ne Zealand wheat has fallen to 4s 10d per bushel. . New Zealand oats have, advanced to 2s 9d per bushel. Maize is 2s 9d per 601bs. Raven's twist tobacco is Is 4Jd.
