i- TO TllE EDITOR. Sir, —In your Saturday's issue you say that experts arc "now of opinion that the fire originated in or from a fire-place used by me for steaming ray tooaceo." Knowing that ! I do not steam any tobacco, and that 1 have not used the tire-place to make .1 fire therein for over six mouths, I am at a loss to account for the knowledge gained by these experts, and believe it will be proved by those first t 2 on the spot that the fire did not originate sc from the spot indicated.—T am, fee., Ij.
