WESLEYAN HOME MISSION.

In the Maori Mission 0 Maori aud .'5 European missionariei were enployed, and tho regular congregations numbered about 3000 hearers, with 1000 Sabbath school children. From Hokianga and l.'aglan there had been a slight increase oE contributions this year. 2. The Scandinavian mission was a most interesting feature of the work. These people Were Danes whe had settled in the Wellington and Hawke'e Bay provincial districts. They received their Christianity from America, where some of them heard the Gospel from ministers of the Mstholist Episcopal Church. A youna man who hail been a missionary among them followed them from America. lie was doiug good work iu New Zealand, having built a church. A young man of good repute had been appointed by ihe Conference to assist him. A subsidy of £50 per annum had been granted by tho Conference toward his stipend, aud a sum of £50 toward building hia house. 4. Tho home mission stations among the rJuropeaus were, iu i Auckland district: Wairoa (North), I'aparoa, Kaukapakapa, Mahurangi, Coromaudel, Bay of and Islands. Nels in district : Motuek,-». Canterbury : Cberesey. Duncdin district : Dunediu city, Hyde, Waikouiti. 5. Small circuits, unable to support themselves, received £412 in varying amounts. Grants of £50 were male to erect and furnish ministers' houses. On these two accounts £185 had been granted during the year. 5.
