Home buyers are purchasing freely, but Continental demand is limited. Competition on French account is sluggish. A good many second-hand parcels have been offered during past sales. The sal es will close on the 6th inst. Up to date 87,000 bales have been sold. Tallow. —Market flat, without any trade demand or speculation. Supplies of town melted are he"avy. Mutton is worth 38s Gd, and beef 3Gs Cd per cwt. Wheat.—Market quiet. Foreign arrivals are heavy. Adelaide is worth 60s, and New Zealand 58s per 4961b5. Leather.—Market firm. Trade demand is good.
