TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Some mouths ago the Editor of the Hkeald charged all believers iu Spiritualistic phenomena with being something like fools, idiots, or delivers. Iu addition to the objection one has to being so charged without a fair hearing, I well know that many of the moat intelligent and esteemed of the citizens of Auckland were among such believerß. Ever siuce then I have desire 1 to invite the said Editor, and (hose who think with him, to a friendly discussion, that it might be seen with whom lie reason and truth. Hence, the challenge uf Monday evening (to which I adhere) ; which, at the time, was quit j unpremeditated, though the result of this long cherished thought.—l am, &c., Samuel Eixjeu.
