Tuesday's sale of ornnge3, ex s.s. Hero, from Sydney, was well attended. Oranges sold at lis 3d to 11? Gil por case; Auckland-grown American Plums, per lb. ; Waikato gooseberries, G.\:l per lb. ; carrots. 2s 3d to 3s_ per cwt.; apples, j potatoes, 8a Cd ; bran, ;i3 to 5s 3d per sack. Wednesday's sale of furniture, &c., was well attended, ami ft fair amount of business was done at satisfactory prices. Thursday's sale of fruit, ex Mai ion, from the Isl.inds, was largely Attended. Bananas sold at 2Jd to 4d per lb.; green peaches, S* per case ; tinned peaches, Its per dozen; muscatels, Gd per lb. ; apples, ; lollies, 7id to Sid; potatoes, 9*; onions, 2d. The land sale was but thinly attended, and but little competition. The property in Albertstreet and tho country lots were passed for higher prices. Friday's sales of poultry and produce were very well attended, and a largo amount of stuff changed hands in all the departments. For most of the lines there was brisk competition. The supply of poultry was not at all equal to the demar.d; all sold well. A large quantity of potatoes wore entered, but all sold except two lines of kidneys*, reserved at Id per lb. Cheese was entered in Urge all were not sold. There is a fair demand.
