RICH GOLD DISCOVERY.

[BY TELEGRAPH, PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Invkrcaroill, Tuesday. Most encouraging news is to hand from the Longivool. Mr. Priutz, proprietor of a claim there, arrived in town this evening, and brought with him some of the gold taken out of tho rich spot struck recently. The gold was brought to town by Mr. Priniz in four pomaele bottles, which turoeel the scales at 241b3. Allowing for the sand mixed with the gold, there must be lfjozs of clean metal. This is the produce of two tin dishes of stuff taken from the reef. The gold was followed upwards 2 feet above the roof of the drive, and looked even richer than where first struck, about 130 feet from the face of the tunnel. Three other shots of golel were parsed through. 'Jhese were not so rich, but were payable. The lode varies in thickness from 1 to 2 feet. The lines between tbe lotles are well detineel. The walls are highly oxodised, and dip to the eastward 1 iu 6. The tunnel's total length is about 530 feet. Another party of men are working half a mile from Priutz's claim, and are reported to be doing well.
