"Tho Irish Emigrant" (by desire), by Miss Seaman, a repetition of "Very Suspicious," by Mr. Hammond and Miss Wylee, a performance that elicited rapturous applause. "My Old Friend, Joe," "Tight Little leland," and othe-s, by Mr. Hammond. "Still I Leve Thee," by Miee Mays," aud " Softly and Slow, Music shall Flow," by Miss Mays and Miss Wyles, conclmling ht-artily with the National Anthem. Aftr the coucert, the room was speedily cleared, whfn under theconductorshipi.f Mr. William Atkin as master of cereinonien, dancing immediately commenced, aud with quadrilles, polkas, waltzes, sebottisches, mazurkas, and gallops, arranged by the Misses Whitaker, was kept up with grnat spirit until 11.30. The performance of Mr. Wright, of Queen-street, Auckland, on the violin gare great satisfaction and during tUe evening accompaniments on the piano were very pleasingly rendered by Miss Ltach and Mr. Smallfield. On the motion of the man hearty votes of thanks were accorded to tliobe ladies and gentlemen who, on the two evenings, had contributed both vocally and instrumentally to the enjoyment of the company; to the master of ceremonies, to Mr. Sheriff for the use of his piano, and to the ladies and the members of the committee, who had so ably assisted him in carrying out the arraugemente. The proceedings were then brought to a close with cordial thanks and three hearty cheers for Mr. Seaman, aud a generally expressed desire that another such enjoyable entertainment would ere long be provided.
