New Zzaland Herald Office, Monday evening. The Customs receipts to-day were £095755 d. Messrs. S.Cochrane and Son held a sale this morning of rural property, but there was little disposition shewn on the part of speculators to operate. Part of lot 2, Kenny's paddock, £7 ; 81 acres in the Parish of Pupuke. Mangonui, 2s Gd per acre; allotment 48, Edensor, with frontage to Mount Eden Road, 2s Gd per foot. In our commercial remarks yesterday, respecting timber, we were made to say " that the supply is beyond the demaud." The context will shew that it ought to have read the very opposite—"that the supply is unequal to the demand." DIVIDENDS AND CALLS.
