_The A.S.S. i'o.'s s.s. Pretty Jane sailed last aight for Gisborne, with a full cargo of merchandise and several passengers. s.s. lon.t sailed last night for Russell and Northern ports, with passengers and cargo. The Island schooner Energy sailed yesterday afternoon for Tonga and Samoa, with several passengers and a cargo of Island trade. The Union Cc.'s s.s. Hawea arrived in harbour yesterday morning from Russell, with a quantity of cu.il. She sailed in the afternoon for Tauranga, E.ist Coast, and Southern ports. A vessel called the Hopeful, believed to be a schooner from the South, arrived in the Manukas! yesterday afternoon.

The schooner Colonist arrived in the Manukau oti Sunday afternoon, in ballast. The Union Company's s.s. Wellington is expected to arrive in the Manukau about S o'clock this morning, from New Plymouth and Southern ports. She is iinaounced to return South at 8 a.m. to-morrow, and intending passengers will liive to leave Auckland by the 7 o'clock train. The P.M. s.s. City of Sydney sailed yesterday afternoon for .Sydney, with several passengers and her original cargo for Sydney. During her stay in port she has received a new craukpin fiorn the engineering establishment of Messrs. Mort and Co., Sydney, which was brought over by the s.s. Tararua. The finishing of this large pin (27cwt.) was placed in the --'--ds of Messrs. Fraser and Tinne, and we are glad learn that it was turned out of their hands in a style that merited the approval of tho chief engineer of the steamer.

The schooner Acadia will sail either to-morrow or Thursday for Noumea, New Caledonia. The schooner V inifred has been somewhat deiayed in the discharge of her cargo. On the completion thereof she will commence to take in freight for Fiji. The schooner Waiwera is expected to sail tomorrow night for Norfolk Island.

The Union Company's s.s. Kotorua,from the East Coast and Southern ports, arrived in harbour shortly after midnight, with a large number of passengers and merchandise. We are indebted to Mr. Pringle, the purser, for Southern exchanges, reports, &c. The steamer left Queen's Wharf alNxicon, and Hobson's Bay at 2.3D p.m., oa the 21sfc ult. ; arrived at Bobort Town on the 23rd at 1.30 p.m., and landed 12 tons, and received 50 tons proceeded at 8.30 p.m., and experienced strong easterly winds, high seas, and dense fos throughout till the 26th ; entered the Bluff harbour on the 27th at 3 p.m., aud discharged 70 tons, and received 15 tons; proceeded at 8 p.m.; arrived at Port Chalmers oa the 2Sth afc 8.15 a.m., and discharged 120 tons, and loaded 100 tons; sailed oil the 27th at sp. m.; reached Lytfcelton next day at noon ; landed 70 tons and received 6 race horses and GO tons; left at 10 p.m.; arrived at Wellington on the 31st at 11.30 a.m., after a very fast run of 13A hours, landed the horses and 90 tons, received 15 tons, and sailed at C p.m. j anchored in Hawke's Buy on the Ist at 2 p.m. ; transhipped G2 sheep and 30 tons, receivodo tons, and sailed at G p.m. ; anchored in Poverty Bay on Sunday at 6 p.m., transhipped 20 tons, and proceeded at noon; anchored in Tauranga harbour on the 2nd, at 10 a.m., and left at 1.30 p.m. ; had light head WLnds from Otago to Lyttelton, and strong south-east winds thence to Cape Palliser, The remainder of the passage was moderate, with variable winds and fine weather. She will sail for Sydney at 4 p.m. to-day.
