BOMBAY: ST. PETER'S-IN-THE-FOREST.
The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Peter's in-the-Forest was held immediately after the service on Sunday, January 26,—the Rev. R. 0. C Biugs in the chair. The minutes of the last meeting having been read and confirmed, Mr. Proude read the accounts for the past year, shewing that £103 10s 51 had been paid, including the debt on the church, buying new organ, &o.—On the motion of Captain Jackson, seconded by Mr. C. W. Andrews, the report was adopted.— Mr. Pronde and Mr. Hawke were again appointed churchwardens.—On the motion of Mr. W. Sawyer, sen., seconded by Capt. Jacks m, the following i>entlemt-n were appointed a committee for the present year :—Messrs. S. Stratford, J. Evan», F. Forde, W. Cuthbert, J. Sweetman, W. Sawyer, jnn., • W. Andrews, W, K. Comthwaite, Captain •Jackson, and W. Sawyer, a«n.—<> n the motion of Mr. Proude, seconded by Captain Jackson, Mr. Biggs was requested to present to the Bishop a petition to define the district, with the view toward building a parsonage, as nothing could bo donn in the matter till it was known who was to help, as the settlers in this district were quite willing to pay a fair share of the expense of the building.—[Own Correspondent, January 2S ' ] »
