CRICKET.
A match between Carlton C.C. and Union C.O. will be played in the Domain this day, at 230 p.m. sharp. The following are the names of the Carlton team Ellis (2), Hill, Clayton, Mears, Gatland, Talbot, Lawry, Cooke, Moginie, Whiting. A cricket match has been arranged to take place in the Domain hollow this afternoon, between a team selected from the sailors on board the English ships now in harbour and eleven landsmen. The seamen will be captained by Mr. Wadeson. of the barque Lebu, and the landsmen by Mr. Daunt. The wickets will be pitched at 2 p. m. sharp. The following are the names : — Sailors: Mr. Nesbitt (Famenoth), Mr. Wadeson (Lebu), Mr. Bowling (May Queen); the sailmaker of the May Queen, J. Morgan ; R. Cooke, T. Browne, O. Ives, J. Kilgour (all of the Lebu), with two o;hers not yet chosen. Mr. Daunt's team : Messrs. Knight, Moiloy, Edward*, Daunt, Mclver, Kincr, Ford, Gibbs, Jones, and two more. Tlie novelty of the match will, no do doubt, cause the game to be watched by a large number of persons. A cricket match will be played at Ponsonby, between the Ponsonby and Waverley Cricket Clubs, this afternoon, commencing at 2.30 o'cl'ick. Thn following are the players:
