On Monday morning at 8 o'clock Messrs. Darrack and Co., shipbuilders, at Freeman's Bay, will launch a powerful cutter of about 30 tons burthen, which has been built to the order oi Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane, for .Messrs. Hedenmnnand Co., of Levuka, Fiji. Thti G.G. s.s. Hinemoa arrived yesterday afternoon from Hokianga and Russell, with the Hon the Natire Minister. again for Wellington, via Tauranga, shortly before midnight.

The schooner Waiwera arrived yesterday from with the first load of timber from the saw-mill recently erected there.

The London barque Arabella has turned out her cargo in excellent condition. The stevedore, Captain Nearing, is now engaged sending ashore the locomotives for the General Government. Two oat of the three have already been landed, an 1 as each weighs 7i tons, th« cask is attended with mo little difficulty. She will be a clean ship early next week, and will subsequently sail for Newcastle. The schooner Atlantic will sail to-day for the Thames River saw-mills, there to load with timber for Timaru.

Private telegrams from Port Augusta, South Australia, state that the well-known ship Jessie Osborne, Captain Falconer, sails for San Francisco to-day.

The topsail schooner Gael will sail on Monday for Levuka, Fiji.

The s.s. Argyle arrived yesterday morning from Whangarei, with number of passengers aad several tons of settlers' produce. She sailed in the afternooc; for Coromandel.

The brig Transport will sail on or about Tues day next for Newcastle.

The s.s. Rowena will resume her trips to Mercury Bay and Tauranga at 5 p.m. on Manday. •

The schooner Minnehaha, from Timaru on Thursday, reports being in company with the schooner Minnie Hare,—the latter running into Hick's Bay on the 9th inst.

The schooner Ellerton, we understand, will not be able to come down from Riverhead until Monday, some little delay being experienced in erecting shears, &c., for the lifting of the engine.

Tho A.S.S. Company's s.s. Southern Cross arrived yesterday evening from Napier. She is advertised to return at 5 p.m. on Monday. The regular trader to aad from Hobart Town, the barque Bella Mary, arrived in harbour about 3 a.m. yesterday, after a rough passage of 13i days. As usual, her principal cargo consists of jams and green fruit, besides the general odds and ends of dogs, birds, and other animals. The barque was off Kawau at 7 a.m. on Thursday, and unfortunately got jammed with light airs and calms, or should have made harbour early on that day. Captain Fisher reports leaving Hobart Town on the Slst ult., with a westerly breese, which lasted until the morning of the 2nd, when it shifted suddenly to the S.E., blowing with hurricane force, and causing the loss of Bails and jibboom. The gale continued with great force for 36 hours, during which time the vessel was hove-to under closereefed main-top-sail. Thence to she 9th unsettled weather, with a low glass, the winds varying from S. to E. Made the Three Kings on Monday, the 10th, at 8 a.m., and rounded the North Cape at G p.m. Down the coast strong S.W. breezes until off Kawau at 7 a,m. on Thursday; thence to harbour light airs and calms, anchoring in the stream at 3 a.m. yesterday. The barque is berthed at the inner Western T, and will commence to discharge this raoraing.

The American barque Sophia R. Luhrs, from New York, via Dunedin and Wellington, arrived iu harbour at nson yesterday from the latter port, after a long passage of 15 days, caused by adverse weather. She comes into port consigned to Messrs. Owen and Graham, and brings a cargo of kerosene oil and a general assortment of Yankee notions. She will be berthed alongside the Railway Wharf, and commence to discharge this morning. Captain Gary, reports leaving Wellington on May 31st, and had a very trying passage up to the East Cape and occasional calms and adverse northerly wino's. Rounded the East Cape ou Wednesday morning last, and for the first time during the voyage the vessel was able to lie her course for twelve hours. On Thursday was becalmed off Tiritiri, making the harbour with the northerly breezo which prevailed yesterday. The schooner Rover, from Whangarei and Parua Bay, arrived in harbour last night, with a cargo of coal, gum, and settlers' produce. The s.s. Ilotomuhana will be laid up to-day for General Government inspection, but will resume running to the Thames on Monday, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
