NELSON. November 22.—Arrived: N. 2. Comi*nr' ship Waitara, 89 days from Plymouth, with immigrants and 5 saloon passengers. ' No «ick > ness, and no birth or death. NEW PLYMOUTH. December 9.—The Hurunui has arrived. Sht has made an une%*entful passage from land to land of 52days; all well. No births or deaths WELLINGTON. November 23.—The Sehiehallion cleared for London with a cargo of colonial produce, chiefly wool, valued at 1*30,143. * s LYTTELTON. December s.—Cleared : The ship M«rope, London, with iv full cargo of wool, wheat /] tallow, &c., to the value of JL'G'2,7OO. December 8. —Sailed: New Zealand Shipping ' Compauy'a ship Waitangi, with a cargo of wool i tallow, and wheat. Value, JL*U>3,OOO. ' > December 10.—Arrived: The ship Kakau from Greenock, with 204 immigrants, all wel£ She left on the 17th September, and experience.! a heavy cyclone off Kewes, Lands End, ou November 23. Two deaths—one adult and one infant—occurred during the voyage. PORT CHALMERS. November 21.— Arrived : New Zealand Company's ship Waipa, SU days from Plymouth. She brings 7 saloon and 212 steerage' passengers, immigrants. There have been tive cases of scarlet fever, two of whooping cough ; two deaths of infants occurred from congestion, supervening on whooping cough. The ship w« placed iu quarantine. The passengers to Quarantine Island. December 3.—Sailed : The Albicn Company's ship Invercargill, for London, with 16 passengers and the following cargo : 4152 bales wool, 3852 cases preserved meats, 252 casks tallow 15 bales rabbit-skins, 21 bags bones, 25 kegs butter, 229 sacks wheat, 4 boxes gold. December 7. —Arrived: The ship Calypso, from London, in 90 days. SLe brings 3U passengers and 1800 tons cargo. She reports signalling an American barque, showing lITMF, on November 7th, in lat. 42 South, from New York to Otago.
December 12.—Arrived : The barque Elizabeth Graham, 119 days from London. She brings 1200 tons cargo, including 800 kegs of powder. Eight passengers.
December 14.—Arrived : The Vixen, in 41 days?, from Mauritius. She eneouu;ere«l heavy weather. She brings 11,900 i;ockets of sugar.
