SUMMER MEETING. Last night the nominations for the Raj], way Plate, Handicap Hurdle Kace, Maiden Plate, Auckland Plate, Publicans' Parse Stewards' Handicap, Grand Stand Handicap, and Selling Race, and the acceptam:es for the Derby closed, and the entries in each case were more numerous than the most sanguine expected. The total amount of money taken last night was £239, in addition to £114 previously received for nominations in the Cup, Steeplechase, and others ; and it may reasonably be expected that from acceptances in the handi caps and post entries the total amount will foot up to the handsome total of £450 So far, therefore, the Club has to be congratulated on their financial success in this particular and the sporting public npon the prospects of large fields and well-contested races.
