The barque Pallas, from Boston via Adelaide. reports having met with a terrific galo from the W.S.W., in lat. 4C> S., long. 128 E., with a terrific sen. Set the vessel under storm canvas, but the wind veered round to the westward. The vessel was kejit before the galo as long as possible, the sea keeping up in furious mountains, at length breaking on board with a force almost incredible. l«Yom break of poop to topgallant forea-»tlc, tho whole of the bulwarks were swept away in oi.u smash, and eighteen stanchions were broken oIF, and several others started in .such a way that water found, access below in torrents. The pumps, before sounded, whinved o feet of water in the hold in a quarter of an hour. All hands were turned to working the pumps and patching decks. They passed a very anxious time till the water was got under, when the full amount of damage was ascertained. It was deemed advisable to bear up for Adelaide, where she arrived on the 9th November, ami, ifter repairs, left on the 17th November, arriving last night.
