Sir, —I run very glad to find «y Councillor Dickson's letter, in your issue of to-day, thnt he has found it necessary to inform you that 'mere a-fixertion i 3 eo proof, Would it not ho well, think you, Mr. Kditor, for Councillor Dickson to remember this himself before making 3iioh absurd assertions relative to the loss sustained by the ratepayers through (us he terms it) the negligence of Councillors ?—I am, &c., A Lover ok Consistency.
