New Zealand Herald Office, "Wednesday evening. The Customs duties for to-day amounted to £572 4s. ' Messrs. E. and H. Isaacs held a large sal 6 of assorted brushware this morning. Eighteen cases were disposed of, consisting of bass and hair broom heads, scrubbing, shoe, hair, nail, and hearth brushes. The attendance was good, but the prices realised were anything but satisfactory to the exporter, the quantity being too large to force into a small market.
