As the weather was ao unfavourable on Boxing Day, the sports -which were to have taken place at Ellerslie were postponed. The programme will, however, be carried out on New Year's Day, and some additions have been made which will render it still more attractive. This evening there is to be a eacred Service of Song in the Wellesley-street Baptist Sunday-school room, the proceeds of which are to be devoted to the library fund. Tenders are invited for the erection of a store on the Kyber-Paas Road. Particulars may be obtained at the office of the Daily Southern Cross. The nomination for. Onehunga will take place at the Court-house, at noon to-day.
