ST. JAMES'S YOUNG MEN'S MUTUAL IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION.

Tiie first entertainment given under the auspices of these young men was held last evening in the Temperance Hall, and oil the whole it was an exceedingly creditable auair and well patronised, the large room bein| crowded with visitors. There was a varied programme, in which the choir of St. .lunies - ■ under the leadership ef >! and Mrs. Mitchell, took a prominent and very siieceisful part. The chair was taken by the Ecv. R_ F. Macnicol, who, after the ilee, " Awake, -Eolian lyre," had been vvll rendered by the choir, made a few introductory remarks.
