[FROM OUlt OWN CORRESPONDENTS. ] THAMES, Monday. The Cure crushed 17 tons of stone for 170 ozs. of retorted gold, and a few more ozs. to come. Fourteen tons were from the winze of tlie black lode, and three tons from the liangingwall leader. The latter averaged about 1 oz. per ton. The Manukau new footwall leader continues to shew gold freely. It is is error a foot thick. The Bright Smile lodged 150 ozs. of retorted gold from the ten stampers at the Imperial Crown battery. Total for the fortnight, 3310 ozs. The Bird-in-Hand commenced to open on the new cross lode, 44 feet wide. It is shewing nice gold. The Imperial City have commenced to crush from three reefs now, the same as hi the Waiotahi mine, and the manager reports it to be crushing for a payable yioL.l, independent of picked stone. The Alburnia started to crusli a few hoars ago with 10 stampers at the Herald battery. The Exchange trial crushing is satisfactory, so far as can be judged—say, 13 dwts. per ton. To-morrow I mil be able to judge better, as the berdans will be cleaned ou: after a 24-hours' run. The trial crusting from the new reef recently intersected in the Imperial Crown ground by the south drive from the Tookey shaft is unsatisfactory. The Market : Xo sales. Buyers : Cure._ lis; Golden Calf (double), 12s; Queen o: the May, 7s; Bird-in-Hand, 14s. TAT7RAXGA, Monday.
