AUCKLAND STOCK AND MINING REPORT

"WEEKLY REPORT. There has been little business done in mining stock except Caledonian. Tbe shares in this company have changed hands very freely at advanced rates, a new reef having been discovered in the mini. Sales hr.ve been effected at £0 lis ; to £10 12s Gd, closing easier at £9 7s (>d, with sellers £9 10s, buyers £1) ss. Nearly all other shares shew a downward tendency. City of London have been sold at 2Ss and 275, with sellers 273 6d. Crown Prince at 275, sellers now at 255. Alburnis and Otago have riseu a little, sales of the former, new is>ue. at «345, and the latter at 12s. Bright Smile have also been sold at SOs. There are aellers of Ked Queen at Is Dd; Waitemata, 12s Cd; Old Whau, 47s Gil: Exchange, 225. Buyers of Union Beach at 10s Gd; Bismarck, ss. In Uauk of N«w Zealand shares no sales arc reported; there are sellers at £17 los. National Bank have been done at 70s, with sailers 70s. South British Insurance are much firmer, sales made at 535, closing buyers 52-i t>d; sellers 545. No business done in National and standard Insurance. Thames Gas are wanted at 30s Gd.
