Messrs. L. D. Nathan and Co. held a trade sale of tobacco tit their stores, Shortlandetrcet, this day. The following ivero the prices realised: —Yeuus, 10's, Isd ; Scotia, 10' 3, 10.|u; Reindeer, 10's, lid. '1 he other lines were withlirawn. There was a large attendance of tho trade present, but competition was not. at all brisk, owing, 110 doubt, to our overstocked market.

Mr. L.W. Eaton submitted to public competition, at his rooms, n quantity of Sew Zealand produce, ■ie. The attendance was fair, but. bidding ruled low. Maize sold at 4s Cd per bushel; Hour, £10 per ton ; butter, S\d per lb. At the Brunswick Mart, to day, Mr. S. Jones offered to the trade a large consignment of teas, sugar, tobacco, The following tire the prices realised : —IOO mills of finest yellow Mauritius crystals, 5J per lb. ; 100 gunnies Company s 1.0. sugar, 5Jd per lb. ; 100 boxes tc-u, ex Meteor, Is 7d per lb.; 20 boxes raisins, -1-iJd per lb.; kerosene, 2s 9d per gallon ; prime Canterbury cheese, Gd per lb. THE SHAKE MARKET. Mr. J. Newman reports : —lf at much activity in the share market; prices about the same as yesterday. My sales comprise : Shotover, Gs ; Inverness, 18s ; Moanatairi, £2 10s; Caledonian, £1G 10s to £17. Buyers of Gas shar s, £9 ss. Sellers of Central Italy, 57s G.t. Mit. Sauxdehs reports 6ales this day:— Caledonian, £17, closiug buyers £17 ; Central Italy, 57s 6.1 ; Inverness, 17s GJ, closing sellers, 17s 61. Buyers of Tokatea, Thames, Inverness, City of London, and Bank shares.

My sales compiise : Caledonian, £17 to £17 10s ; Thames, £5 10s ; Tokatea, 47s Gd ; Golden Calf, 555; Central Italy, 57s 6d. Closing sellers: Caledonian, £17 10s ; Thames, £5 10s. Buyers : Caledonian, £17 ; Thames, £5 ss.
