MUSIC HALL, SYMONDS-STREET.
A ball was given last evening at the new Hall of the Choral Society, which was well attended. The proportions of this new building appeared to advantage upon such an occasion. This ball was given under the auspices of some gentlemen to their lady friends, but the invitations were, as testified by the result, very numerous. The arrangements were under the superintendence of Captain Daveney, whose knowledge in these matters has so often been of signal service. The dancing commenced shortly after nine o'clock, and was kept up to the early hours of the morning. There was an elegant 9upper provided and garnished, comprising every delicacy of the season.
