Major Kbddii.l and Mr. Lowther Broad, who ' waited yesterday on the Duke, inviting his Koyal Highness to visit the Thames, were 1 informed that, owing to the shortness of the stay of the Galatea in these waters, the Duke would bo unable to visit the Thames goldfield, a matter which he much regretted.
