Cichineal—Has been more inquired for, and Id por!jb. ndvanco lias been obtained. Honduras silver, ordnnry to good bold grain, 2s 3d to 3a 5d per lb.; Honduras black, do. do., 3s to 4s per lb. Doooa—Remains neglected and flat. Good quality of Guayaquil, 46s to 493 per cwt. popper—Has continued in good and steady demand, "With an advancing tendency for Chili bare. Price — Chili bnrs, £69 10s ; ingots, 76s per ton ; ores and rojjulus, 14a to 14s 3d per unit; barilla, 15b 3d per unit. Saloe during the fortnight, 1630 tons bars; !s6)O ions ores and regulns, 30 tons barilla. Actual etcok—At Liverpool—4s74 tons Chili bars, 693 tons injots ; 5978 tons ores and regulus, 163 tens barilla. Indigo has been quiet—Guatemala flores 7s 6d; Scbrei 5s 0(1 a 6s ] 0d ; Cortes 4s 6d a 5s per lb. India Rubber has been in more request at somewhat eaf-ier rates, Guayaquil Is 2d a Is per lb. Lima & Nicaragua wootl. —Owing to nearly exhiuetod stocks only retail sales have been effected £2 pjr ton. Lima Orchella Wred—Continues quite neglected, lulftrior and ordinnry, £18 ; fino desciiption £46 per ton. M.O.'P, shells—Black: Market bare; Buffalo, to transactions had taken placo; black, fine £354 iO. _ Nitrato of Soda—Hns been very firm, and closes with rnther an upward tendency. On tho spet 10s 0d a 11s per cwt; to arrive 11s a 11s 3d per cwt. Kstimated Stocks, 63,000 bags. Wool—Aβ yet without any improvement, and jalee are on a very limited scale. Alpaca 1,500 ballots eold at 2s 4d. We quote fair to good 2s 2d to 2s 4d ; Peruvian, only 800 ballots sold at previous •or rather easier rates. Fair washed Arequiba, 10d a Is.

December 11th. Alcohol—(In bond) in barruls 90 a 92 proof; 72$ a 63c-, currency per gallon according to quantity. Butter—Good qualities are scarce and the prospect of receipts are light, Western, none to speak of offering. I quote butter for export 30 a 38c per lb. Candles—Adamantine are steady and quiet, without sales of movement. Sperm may be quoted 48c.; Patent 58c. j some Parafßne sold at 31 a 330. Cheeee—Shows more animation than at my last; I quote common to eood dairy 12c. to 16e.; common Factory, 14c. 16c. Figh—Dry Cod are dull, prices unchanged ; mackerel No. 1 shone $li 50 a $15 ; herring per barrel. §5 a $7 b0 according to quality. Flour.—Winter having closed Canftl Navigntion incroased domand for flour exists, both for export and home use, and in consequence prices have rather advanced. Southern flour is quoted for ordinary to pTircoj?9 75 to £14. L*;d—ls heavy, but closes firmer and in good demand in tierces with iron hoops, ordinary to prime 13c a 14c. Oils—City Tineeed ie dull at £1 a SI 02 for casks. Lard Oil, weetern winter is quoted jjfl 10c. a $1 15c. Petroleum—Refinod, in bond, dull and depressed, although without notable change from my last quotations. Provisions—Beef, 21c. to 26c.; smoked bams, 17J to 180. per lb. Soap—For family use, 7£c. p, lb ; pale do, B£c. In boxes less than 50 lbs extra.

December 10. Flour—No demand except for local trade, which is quiet at the following rates for city mills: Superfine, hf nks, ty 198 lbs $6 75 a. 1 00 ; qr sks, 700 a 7 25. Extra, hf eke, 7 50a 7 75; qr sks 7 75 a 8 00. Wheat—Market still dull and pricps nominal. The decline in freights, it is supposed will lead to some activity next week. Sale of 300 sks low grade, $2 40. For Choiea ehipping, $2 50 is offered. Barley—Sales of 1,500 sks brewing, $1 85; 500 sks do, $ 1 87£. Market quotable at $1 80 asi9o #■ IOOIbs.
