Francis Powell wae charged with having stolon from the Mechanic's House of Call, Oiancery-ttreot one pair of dr.*were and a. women's belt, tlu , property of Thomas Powell. He pleadsd .lot guilty. llr. Commissioner Naushton said at the time the?e things wi're stolen a lot more had teen taken away, and the pro-ecutor thought he would be able to recover some of them if a remand were granted. This could not prejudice the prisoner, who had stated that he could bring evidence to show that he bought the things. The remand would theref io be an advantage to him. Tho prisooei , was remanded until to-morrow. This wns all the business.
