Turrell & Tonks, sold at auction American pegged boots, 8s 2d per pair j out tumblers 6s lOd per doz.; raw oil, 4s Id per gal.; coir fibre, jd per lb. ; and alkali, at 8s 6d per owt.—The sale of land announcod by 8. Cochrane & Son, -was postponed. » —— AUCKLAND STOCK AND SHARE MABKET. MB. READBE WOOD'S MONTHLY BEPOET. The amount of business done in the sharemarfeet' this month has been limited; but holders are firm and prices generally have improved. Bank of New Zealand shares have realised readily a uniform price of £16 10s ; the market now is very bare of this stock. Gas shares have realised a uniform rate of £5 sa. throughout ihe month; tbe half year closes on the 30th instant, and it is expected that the dividend will be satisfactory to the shareholders. New Zealand Insurance Company shares are in the market at £20; but Insurance stock jußt now is generally neglected as an investment. For New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company shares there are occasional enquiries, but I have no transactions to report. In Gold Mining shares there is nothing doing; the returns from the Kapanga Comnany are of an average character. '

BWNEY. Only a few- of thtv parcels of wool offered at public sales to-day were of any importance. For these there were fair competition, and considering the state of the market, satisfactory prices were realised. About 250 bales were offered, and the greater portion sold at: —For scoured, 17d to ; fleece, 15d to 17d; handwashed, 10jd tolled; greasy, d to 6d; skinwool, BJd; locks, 6d to Bfd. Sheepskins were easier, and brought from 4id to 6£d. SHARE LIST.
