Samuel Cochrane and Son, sold at auction,'.by order of Mr. Mackay, Civil Commissioner, the following goods:—Bottled beer, 6s per dozen; ditto, £1 12s 6dperhhd. ; spirits, lis per gallon ; whiskey, 33s per case; old torn, 15s dozen; rum, lis Od per keg. The same firm also sold Sydney maize, at from 4s id to 4s 6d per bushel; colonial butter, lljd and ll.Jd per lb.

Auckland ; quoted at 4s 6d to 4s 9d wholesale, and retail 5s 6d per bushel ; large quantities on the way hither—per Alice Cameron, 1500 bags; per Moa, 665 bt.gs—and as the consumption is not more than 500 bags monthly the market may be said to be supplied for some time to come.
