THE FLYING CLOUD.
To the Editor of tho New Z-.aland HeS.ald. Sie, —At last tho Customs entry has been passed by Messrs. E, and H. Isaacs, to tftkc away all our provisions. We objected to the tea sugar, &c., because we had no other visible means of support, and Bincerely trust the foe for Customs entry and bond rent for the few cans of spirits and beer Will be tho means of increasing their capital. No doubt their reason for being an auxiliary to our provisions being taken away is that if they had not done so somebody else would. But we must remind these gentlomea that there are always a class of people, and very properly so, ready to be employed in bucii work as head bailiffs. 1 Mr. Seon, mastor of the brig, has on several occasions stated that should an attempt bo made to take our stores ho would be one of the first to give bis assistance to prevent their going over tho ah'p'3 side, ond to day he did all in his power to cau?o them tD bo taken from us. Wo wish to mention it never crossed our m'uds to prevent the landing of the tobacco, spirirs, or beer, because we were not sanguino they belonged to us, and humbly entreat tho Colonial Government;, if they cannot aid uh, not to lend their hand to injure lis. It is with deep regret .we have to state that the water on board the Flying Cloud'is daily getting worse—so bad that it is hardly fit for use. We wish it known that there is no scarcity ; on tho contrary —there was a sufficient supply of provisions, and beyond the average quality, to take us to San Francisco and half-way back aga : n.—We are, &c., (For the passengers) John Wnia J. Thos. Gbant. Patbick White. GeoeGe Thqiiiiile, John Dait. H. Wilson. Flying Oloud, June, 21, 1867.
