SALT WATER BATHS.

We inspected yesterday these buildings which are now rapidly approaching to completion. It is hardly necessary to inform our readers that they are erected upon the east side of Britomart Breakwater. The structure itself is in the pointed or Elizabethan style, and the elevation looks. very graceful in outline as seen from the wharf. The space of water enclosed, is superficially 70 feet by 100 feet, and the depth at high water mark is about 17 feet, that at low water, about 7 feet. Thus there will be opportunity for a " header " at all times to the most adventurousswimmer. For those who are not masters of this accomplishment, there is an inclined plat-' form which can he raised or lowered at pleasure to any depth. _ The_ works appears to be of the most substantial kind. The piles are driven well down, and are tied longitudinally with heavy girders and cross-tied in the most approvediinanner. The rails by which the bath isenclosed are stout and well fastened so that it must be a very unusual north-easter indeed that could in the least disturb it. The depth of tb.3 water enclosed not less than the other 'precautions taken for security must of itself offer an. immense resisting power to any gale that might happen. It is as substantially built as possible,, and we congratulate Mr. T. B. Cameron, their architcct, and Mr. Dundas, the contractor, on the near completion of what appears to be a mcst excellent job.
