In adjourned meeting was lield in tlie hall of I lie Onehunga Institute on Monday evening, I or. the purpose of further considering the fornation of the Onehunga Hide Volunteer Corps. Dr. Nicholson in the chair. The CuAinman having opened the proceedings n a few remarks, read a letter from Major riglie giving some instructions as to the forma:ion of the corps. Mr. C. Fleming stated that the committee lad held scvoral meetings and procured fresh inmes. They would now have to get the consent of the Government, and after that they ivould be sworn in. Mr. Bktant asked who were to be the DUlccrs. The Chairman informed him that as soon as the members were sworn in, they would elect their ollicers. It was then determined to make the Government acquainted with what had been done, and get their sauction to the formation of the corps at once. _ , A vote of thanks having been given to the i Chairman for presiding, the meeting separated. 1
