IMPORTED STOCK.

The ship Ironside, which arrived yesterday from London, brings a fine assortment of prize stock, to the order of Mr. Brown, of .Napier. 3he importation consists of 1 racehorse, 1 stallion, 2 sheep-dogs, 1 bulldog, a quantity of poultry, pigs, &e., all of which will be forwarded on this day to their destination, per s.s. Star of the South. The stallion is of high standing, named " Prince Arthur," and a noble-looking animal. The racer is named " Gownsman," of very high repute, as will be seen by the following pedigree : —" Gownsman," by " Surplice," out of " Tomyris," by " Sesostris," by " Slane," out of " Palmyra," by " Sultan." 1864 (3 years old), started 8 times, won the lOsov. Sweepstakes, T.Y.C., at Newmarket; won the Handicap Sweepstakes of 10 sovs. each, T.Y.C., Newmarket, beating Attraction, Lythanij Usher, and 9 others; won the Sweepstakes of 10 sovs. each, T.Y.C., Newmarket, beating Anti« dote and 3 others ; won the Welter Handicap of o sovs. each, at Leamington, carrying 9st. 111b. 3 beating 4 others, and was twice second besides. ISGS (4 years old), started 9 times; won a Handicap Plate of 50 sovs. at Warwick ; won another Handicap Plate of 50 sovs. at Warwick next day; won the Brighton Stakes of 10 sovs. each, with £100 added (54 subs.), at Brighton, beating23others,includingLight,Ostregor,Deerfoot, Skirmish, Mingspinner, Glendusk,&c.,&e.; won the Epsom 4-year old stakes over the new T>erby course, of 50 sovs. each, carrying Bst. 111b., by three lengths; won the County Members' Plate of 50 sovs., added to a Handicap of 5 sovs. each, at Nottingham (25 subs.), beating Attache and others, 'and second once, at Liverpool, for the Sefton Handicap. The whole of this importation, more especially the horses, have arrived in the finest order and condition, which speaks highly of the care and pains taken by those employed on board to tend them during the passage.
