ACCLIMATUSATION SOCIETY.
Mr. Burtt, secretary to the Acclimatisation Society, informs us that he has received through Mr. Ball, of Mongonui, the sum of £20. subscribed at that place towards the funds of"the Society. _ This sum does not include all the subscriptions made, a portion having been re. served for the fund for destroying hawks in the district. This is a large contribution to the Society, and speaks volumes in their favour, it being but a small place, and few inhabitants. We hope to see other out parts following the example of Mongonui.
