FUNERAL OF COLONEL KEMPT, 12th REGIMENT.

The funeral obsequies of this distinguished officer, took place yesterday afternoon, in the Church of Englind Cemetery, b ing buried close to the grave of Captain Mercer and other officers. >-oon after throo o'clock, a crowd of people bejan to ns*?rablo in the Albert Barrack square, to witneos the procession. Aged 60 years. Colonel Kempt entered the army in IS3O, as an ensign in the 12th ; on I'Jth May, '537, he was made i.i utenant ; 20th April, ISI-2 captain; major on the 19th May, 1854 ; brt.
