AUCKLAND WEEKLY TRADE SUMMARY. Auckland, 14th April, ISGS. Business during the week lias been very dull, and no sign of improvement is at present apparent. In tho flour market no change whatever is reported, the price still rules at £27, with a fair demand. A general idea seems to exist, that or* 1 long the abovn figure will give way in consequence of plentiful shipments from Chili to this and the neighbouring colonies. ! great scarcity of porter, both in bulk and bottle is «t present felt, and quotations aro in consequence I advancing Ale is without alteration. | A speculative movement in herrings, (2 down ! tins), has taken place during the week, and the stock ; is now entirely in one lmnd,nnd held for about -10s ; the previous quotation? were H3s. I In other articles no change has occurred worthy of I note. i Auction Sales.—A few trilling sales have been j held, but in a general way the price? obtained, were I an yhing but satisfactory, and certainly do not rej present the fair market value.
